			A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY Nightingale House - as it was originally known played an essential role in Britain's medical advances during the 18th century and the historic plaque in front of the building commemorates Nightingale's work. Other publicly listed features include the picturesque stained glass window at the top of the main staircase which overlooks our reception area where you can find Florence Nightingale's own original bookcase from her time in the city.
